The search team at Bing today announced a new visual search for World of Warcraft weaponry that includes 3,000 virtual weapons for one of the world's most popular online PC games.
Realizing that a search by name could become confusing ― is it Relentless Gladiator's Decapitator or the Tyrannical Beheader that you need? ― Bing partnered with Wowhead.com to create a gallery of WoW weapons and gear.
The new gallery includes critical information on each item gathered from Wow bloggers . Gamers can access reviews, feedback and in-game videos for better decision-making, which is what Bing, the decision-making engine, is all about.
World of Warcraft has captured more than 50 percent of the world's massive multi-player online gaming market with an estimated 12 million unique players each month, according to the MMO Focus Report by Today's Gamers International Survey released in March 2010.
The WoW gallery is the latest in a series of Bing search offerings directed at specific user groups. Last week the company introduced Food Cart Finder and Music Lounge for people in Portland, Ore.
