To mark the second birthday of Google’s Chrome Web browser, the company launched its sixth version with several new features.
Included in the update, the new Chrome 6 browser allows users to fill out Web pages in just a few clicks. The revamped user interface is also cleaner and hides some of the superfluous information.
Google launched Chrome on September 2, 2008 to compete with existing browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, Apple Safari and Mozilla Firefox.
Although it took users some time to make the switch, many began gravitating toward Chrome last year. In fact, Chrome surpassed Safari in worldwide browser market share last year.
About 70 million people currently use the browser.
