Mophie Juice Is a Stylish Battery Pack for the iPhone 4
Battery life never seems long enough for mobile devices, with phones inevitably dying in the middle of calls or right before attaining the high score on Angry Birds. As a salve for those of you who are always in need of some extra power, Mophie’s new Juice Pack Air for the iPhone 4 provides extra battery life while simultaneously keeping the phone small and stylish.
Essentially an iPhone 4 case that also holds a charge, Juice Pack doubles the talking time, extends music playback by 36 hours, or adds nine hours of video capacity. It has a 1500 mAh capacity, and 500 milliamps fast charging technology.
The case replicates the design of the iPhone 4 so closely that an onlooker could barely tell the difference, with the Juice Pack only adding .5 inches to the length, .2 inches to the width, and almost nothing to the thickness.
The pack weighs about 2.32 ounces, or the equivalent of about $3 in quarters.
Users can charge their iPhone, or connect to iTunes, without taking the case off. The Juice Pack even acts like a speaker, amplifying the sounds emanating from the bottom of the phone.
“With the release of the next generation form factor, it is only natural that we provide its users the extended battery life and protection that Apple fans have come to expect from Mophie,” said Ross Howe, Vice President of Business Development at Mophie.
And yes, for those out there who are wondering, it does eliminate that pesky dropped-call grip problem .
