Evidence of the White iPhone 4 in App Update
The white iPhone 4 has nearly reached mythical status after months of being told it's coming … sometime. Today Apple gave new life to the legend of the white iPhone with a simple update to the Apple Store app.
The app is a simplified way to browse and buy other Apple products and the update to version 1.1 revealed options to reserve a white iPhone 4 in 16GB or 32GB versions.
Of course, Apple quickly removed mention of the white iPhone, so it's obvious it's not quite ready yet. But it is an indication that the white iPhone might not be that far away from release.
The white iPhone 4 was announced along with the black model, but it has been continually delayed due to manufacturing problems . Apple has made no specific announcements about when or if it will be available in the future.
