Video Gives Closer Look at Dell Convertible Tablet
The Dell Inspiron Duo is an interesting device because it transforms from tablet to netbook and back again via a rotating screen. We didn't get much from Dell when it was first announced in September, but a new video of the Inspiron Duo gets a little closer to the action.
The video gives a better look at just how the screen rotates inside a frame in a way never seen in a netbook or notebook. In tablet mode, the Inspiron Duo is similar in size to the Apple iPad, though significantly thicker. It will run Windows 7 Premium, so it will also differ from Android tablets. The main advantage is being able to use a full keyboard or transfer to tablet mode with a quick flip of the screen.
The original announcement said the Dell Inspiron Duo would be ready for consumers by the end of the year, but there's still no word on a firm release date.
