Mac App Store Now Accepting Submissions
Now that Apple has decided to create a version of the App Store for Mac computers, it's time for developers to start submitting apps for approval.
Apple CEO Steve Jobs recently announced the company would follow the business model of the iPhone and create an app store specifically for Mac computers . This opens up a whole new way to make or find software for the Mac, and it also shows Apple's vision of computing edging further towards app-based interfaces.
Mac developers are being invited to submit Mac apps for review according to the (sometimes controversial) Apple app guidelines. The app store is set to open "within 90 days" of the announcement, which should mean before the end of January 2011.
