Apple Memo Confirms MacBook Air Display Problems
Owners of the new Macbook Air are reporting problems with the superlight computer's display. An internal memo reveals that Apple has confirmed the problem but won't address it with consumers yet.
The leaked memo was reported by Boy Genius Report. It shows that Apple has found the source of the problem, which causes flickering or horizontal lines to show up in the display occasionally, but won't have a solid fix until the next software update.
Users began seeing these problems when waking the new MacBook Air from sleep mode. Additionally, some users have reported a separate bug that causes the screen to fade in and out after waking up.
Apple has not yet publicly acknowledged these issues, but the memo shows the company is aware of them. For now, Apple has instructed employees to respond to customers who ask about it by simply saying the company is working on it.
