Update Alert: Apple Releases iTunes 10.1

Last weekend it was time to set the clocks back, and this weekend your iTunes needs to be updated.

Apple on Friday released the latest upgrade for iTunes, version 10.1.

The new software fully supports AirPlay, which gives users the ability to instantly and wirelessly stream videos from iTunes to devices such as Apple TV and other entertainment sets.

iTunes 10.1 also allows the syncing of an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 4.2, which is expected to be released in the near future.

Apple said on its site that the new software "provides a number of important stability and performance improvements.” However, it didn't elaborate on specifics.
