The time has finally come: Google Docs can now be edited directly from an iPhone, iPad and Android device.
Google, which made the announcement on Wednesday, plans to roll out the tools over the next few days to iOS 3.0+ and Android 2.2+ users.
Android devices will also be able to use Google’s voice recognition to edit a document’s text.
The edits will appear in what Google is calling "near realtime." Changes that someone else makes to a Google Doc on their browser will appear on yours, as well.
Previously, Google Docs only supported mobile editing on Google Docs spreadsheets.
