Put your heart into it with a game that measures your heart rate as part of the battle.

The Pulse game from Teko Toys is designed to really get your heart pounding – literally – and just as literally, a game not for the faint of heart.
Each player dons a wireless heart rate hand band that looks like something out of Xena Warrior Princess (fashion forward for the gals, not so much for the guys).
Each player then chooses a Pulse challenge from one of three stacks of cards, each representing one of three heart rate categories: duel, body, or mind. Players then stick the card into the automated card reader-slash-scoreboard and proceed with the challenge.
Challenges charge players with either raising or lowering their own heart rate by a specified number of beats per minute, or not allowing your heart rate to change within a specified range, or lowering or raising your opponent's heart beat by a specified number through the instructed activity. These challenges may include physical acts or altering your heart rate while not moving a muscle.
Heart rates are transmitted wirelessly to the card reader/scoreboard, which keeps track of everyone's racing - or not - heart. It wasn't clear during the demo when the game was over, but hopefully it stops before one contestant keels over.
Even for players who aren't the type to meditate, learning how to exert some control over your heart rate can teach you how to lower your stress levels and keep your head while those around you are losing theirs. Just make sure your heart is in it.
The $50 price for the Teko Toys Pulse includes two headbands, the card reader/scoreboard and the challenge cards.
