CES 2011 Preview: Tiny Waterproof MP3 Player
Making its debut at CES 2011, this tiny music player from UWaterG2 is designed to take the drudgery out of swimming laps. The 2GB model holds up to 600 songs or five audio books and runs for six to eight hours on one charge―good for a week's worth of workouts at the gym.
The UWaterG2 is rated at the highest level IPX water submersion standard, which means it is waterproof at depths of up to 10 feet. The clip-on device weighs under an ounce and is both PC and Mac compatible. Play sequentially or switch to shuffle mode.
The UWaterG2's earbuds have a "twist and lock" technology that is designed to seal out water while preventing corrosion in the player. The UWaterG2 player comes with four sets of earbuds ranging in size from small to extra large and has a cord that can be extended from 12-inches to 40-inches. It also comes with an armband, and a USB cable for connecting the player to a computer to download audio file.
Price: $59.95 for 2GB, available in black with yellow, red or blue, all black and white.
