Sharp Aquos Quattron Televisions – Passive 3D and Glass-Less 3D Aren’t Ready for Prime Time

This year, Sharp will be releasing fiver different models of their 70-inch AquosQuattron, the television with nonstandard yellow pixels, which they believe creates a brighter, bolder picture.
The yellow pixels enables the TVs to be more energy efficient as well as making other colors that much brighter, according to Sharp. In addition each of the televisions features full IP control and Wi-Fi built in.
Sharp also showed off their 3-D televisions, outfitted with active glasses. They are currently looking into developing passive and glass-less 3D televisions as well.
