If you gave Grandma a digital photo frame for her birthday last year, chances are it still has the same dozen or so photos you loaded for her. Isabella Products, has introduced a USB device that offers instant remote photo sharing to a digital photo frame, TV or other display device.
Once the Mini USB device is connected to a display source, photos can be sent from an email-capable phone or computer using a 3G AT&T connection that is part of the Mini. Photos are managed through Isabella's online site, VizitMe that offers secure photo storage along with a contact management system. Photos are sent using a dedicated email address that connects with the frame in real time.
Mini will be able to pull photos from photo sharing sites such as Photobucket and LIFE.com. Mini is USB 2.0 compatible and comes with 1GB flash memory along with unlimited photo storage on the VizitMe servers. The ability to store unlimited photos means a Mini can also be used as a portable photo album: Just plug into a friend's computer, TV or frame for an instant slideshow.
The Mini will be available this spring on VizitMe.com and through other select online and offline retailers. The gadget will cost $99.
Users do not have to have an AT&T wireless service for their phones to participate. The Mini connection service with AT&T is part of the VizitMe service and there is no monthly fee.
