Motorola Atrix 4G Smartphone Dock to Sell for $60?
The Motorola Atrix 4G smartphone will be powerful enough to basically run as a secondary computer, and now it seems the multimedia dock that connects it to other computers will only be $60.
This isn't just the standard charging dock that you've seen with other phones. The Atrix 4G dock will be something of a media center that lets users take advantage of the phone's power. The dock itself has three USB ports and a micro HDMI connection (for high-definition video). It also allows the Atrix 4G to run apps directly on the computer screen.
The retail site Fommy.com has leaked the dock's price at $60, which is surprisingly low considering all the functions it performs.
The laptop dock, which turns the Atrix 4G itself into a laptop by giving it a laptop and keyboard to connect to, is likely to be pretty reasonably priced. Sources have indicated the Atrix 4G will be somewhere between $150 to $200 , and the laptop dock will be $150 sold separately. A bundle deal with the phone and laptop dock is rumored to be $360 on contract.
There is no solid release date, but several sources point to a mid-February release (possibly Feb. 11).
