Apple iPad Available for Pre-order Today
If you've been anxiously awaiting the coming of Apple's iPad ever since it was unveiled in January, you are now one step closer to having it in your hands. Today the Apple website opened up for pre-orders of Apple's new tablet device.
Debate is still raging about whether the iPad is truly worth it, but if that’s not even a question for you, pre-orders for all six models are now available, even for the 3G models that won't be available until late April. The Wi-Fi models will ship on April 3.
Here are the options:
Wi-Fi (shipping April 3)
- • 16GB storage: $499
- • 32GB storage: $599
- • 64GB storage: $699
3G and Wi-Fi (shipping late April)
- • 16GB storage: $629
- • 32GB storage: $729
- • 64GB storage: $829
As promised, the 3G capable models of the iPad will not require contracts and will receive service through the AT&T network. Service is on a month-by-month basis and is activated directly through the iPad.
