RIM BlackBerry Playbook Available April 19 Starting at $500

Research In Motion (RIM) has announced that its first tablet computer, the BlackBerry PlayBook, is now available for pre-order at Best Buy and will hit shelves April 19.

The tablet computer will go on sale at more than 20,000 retail stories in the United States and Canada, according to a RIM press release.

Three models and pricing have been specified: a 16GB version for $499, 32GB for $599 and 64GB for $699.
