New iPod Nano Will Have Camera, Source Claims
The current generation iPod Nano, which isn't much larger than a postage stamp, would seem to have no room for additional features, let alone a camera. Nevertheless, purported images of the next iPod Nano show a camera hole.
Apple.pro, an Apple enthusiast website, provided the image. The site has accurately reported Apple rumors in the past, lending credence to the camera theory.
The image shows the case of the seventh-generation iPod Nano with a cutout for a digital camera lens, similar to what you see in smartphones, including the iPhone .
Of course, the image raises more questions than it answers, including how the belt clip will change to accommodate the camera lens and how pictures will be organized and managed on such a small screen. Syncing with a computer will be more important than ever when taking pictures with such a small device.
The new iPods are generally announced in late summer or early fall, so we likely won't be seeing an official announcement for several months.
