Harry Potter May Soon Work His Magic in E-Books
For anyone who has spent time attempting to fit a Harry Potter book into a bag or had to carry one of the five-pound books around for a day, there is welcome news. J.K. Rowling is now considering plans to make her books available as e-books.
The move would transform the electronic market and add to Rowling’s already impressive net worth. Rowling’s fortune is estimated at £620 million, more than $1 billion USD. The e-books could net her another $100 million, according to a report by the Christian Science Monitor.
According to Rowling's agent, the books would be available on electronic reading devices like Kindle, Nook and the iPad. The move is expected to transform the electronic book market.
For those of us who already have the books in print, this will make re-reading them that much easier and you can always use the ones in your library as exercise equipment.
