President Obama to Speak at Facebook Live Townhall Meeting
As a part an effort to use digital and social media throughout his re-election campaign, President Obama will be holding a townhall meeting on Facebook Live later this month.
Obama, who will join Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and COO Sheryl Sandberg to answer questions, is the first president to speak live via the popular social networking site to campaign.
Although Election Day is still about 19 months away, President Barack Obama released a series of digital initiatives yesterday (April 4) — from a YouTube video to emails and text messages — to kick off his re-election campaign .
The Facebook Live townhall will be held at the company's headquarter in Palo Alto, Calif., but will be streamed live at 1:45pm PST on April 20th, 2011.
Facebook members can RSVP to the event, which was organized by The White House's Facebook page, and submit questions for President Obama via a link on the site.
