Images Show HP webOS Phone and Pre 3 on Verizon
There has been some discussion about what the next webOS phones will look like now that Hewlett-Packard has taken over the design and manufacturing process. Some leaked images give an idea of what to expect.
PreCentral, a fan site for Pre phones and the webOS platform , received an image purported to be of the next HP webOS phone. It looks a lot like a Palm Pre with no slide-out physical keyboard.
There isn't much to be ascertained from the photo, other than the phone likely has an 800 x 480 pixel resolution touch screen and a forward-facing camera for video chat. The tipster who sent in the image said the large screen made the device resemble an HTC EVO with webOS.
PreCentral asserted that the device is codenamed Stingray.
The same tipster also provided an image of the Palm Pre 3 with Verizon branding, indicating the Pre 3 will indeed be carried on the Verizon network.
