T-Mobile G2x Dual-Core Smartphone: $200 on April 15
LG announced the new G2x smartphone at the CTIA Wireless conference last month. Now T-Mobile has come forward to confirm the phone will soon be available on its network for $200.
T-Mobile confirmed via Twitter that the G2x will be available online on April 15 and in stores on April 20. As usual, the $200 price tag is available only to those who agree to a two-year contract with T-Mobile and a $50 mail-in rebate.
The LG G2x is one of the new Android smartphones that will run on the NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor, meaning it will have significant performance advantages over single-core phones. And Tegra chips also offer increased graphics performance.
The LG G2x will also include an 8-megapixel camera and run Android 2.2 (Froyo) at launch. The phone is capable of using T-Mobile's 4G network.
