T-Mobile officially announced its next 4G phone, the long-rumored HTC Sensation 4G (formerly codenamed Pyramid).
The HTC Sensation 4G is exclusive to the T-Mobile network and packs a lot of power into a thin form factor. It runs a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon 2 processor, which performs right up there with other recent super phones such as the Motorola Atrix.
Even more exciting is the spec bump HTC gave to the display. It's 4.3 inches, which is fairly standard for HTC phones lately, but it uses the new qHD resolution technology that brings the resolution up to 540 by 960 pixels.
Other specs include an 8 megapixel camera with the ability to shoot 1080p high-definition video (most other smartphones are capped at 720p), 768MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage and an aluminum unibody construction. Rounding out the HTC smartphone experience is the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system with the HTC Sense interface.
The HTC Sensation 4G is launching in Europe in mid-May, but its American release date is still a vague "this summer." T-Mobile has not released any specific pricing details.
