HP Veer 4G Landing on AT&T May 15th
AT&T just officially confirmed Sunday May 15th as the launch day for the HP Veer 4G. At a mere 3.6 ounces, this $99 bite-size slider will be the smallest webOS handset since the Palm Pixi of days gone by.
The phone sports a minute 2.6-inch screen (400 x 320 pixels) but is powered by a speedy 800-MHz processor and 8GB of memory. As a webOS 2.1 device, the HP Veer 4G will support apps, a web browser with Flash, and can run multiple operations at once.
The gadget can also serve as a hotspot for up to five Wi-Fi devices. That should come in handy since the Veer will connect to AT&T’s 4G HSPA+ network. No telling, however, what data speeds we can actually expect.
We were fortunate to take the HP Veer 4G for a quick spin recently. Take a look to see what our first impressions of this snack-size smart phone were and to view a quick video demo.
