Apple iPad to Be Sold at Best Buy at Launch

Apple has announced that its much anticipated tablet computer, the iPad, will be available at most Best Buy locations when the iPad goes on sale April 3.

In a statement, Apple said the "iPad will be available in all 221 US Apple retail stores and most Best Buy stores this Saturday, April 3, beginning at 9 a.m."

This provides another option for people who haven't pre-ordered the iPad and who (correctly) assume Apple stores will be overrun on April 3, although it's safe to assume a lot of people will now be going to Best Buy this Saturday.

The Apple iPad models start at $499 ; stores will only carry the Wi-Fi models for now because the 3G equipped iPads won't be available until late April.
