Use Your iPad Charger on Any Phone

Lots of us have electronic devices that need to be powered up. That can take a while. But here's a solution: use your iPad 's charger.
The official iPad charger has a USB connector that plugs into the iPad. The USB connection is the same as that for lots of other devices. What's the difference? The iPad charger hits 10 Watts and can pump out 5 volts at up to 2 amperes, where most chargers are at around half that, putting out the usual 5 volts at one amp (really a bit less, 700 milliamps, on some models).
Hooked up to a Blackberry and Android phone the charge time is much shorter. If you carry a USB cable with a micro- or mini- connection on one end you can cut down the number of chargers you have to carry around. And no, it won't harm your phone.
