Go Electric WIth The Old Tube Amp
|
You have an old tube amp that your parents probably rocked out to when they were in college. But it just doesn't go with the all-new mp3 -capable home entertainment system. What to do?
Well, if you own an electric guitar you can re-use that old tube amp for those times when you just don't want to break out the 250-watt Peavey. All you need is to rewire the input and output jacks, as suggested by the good folks at eHow. But there's a simpler solution: Radio shack has several adapters that can connect to RCA jacks common in older equipment.
An added bonus is the "tone" that only tube amps provide, and the ability to hook it up to headphones that will surely annoy neighbors less.
