Toilet is Top Reason People Lose Smartphone Contacts
Smartphone users love to access their devices anytime, anywhere – even the bathroom. That’s why one in five people who have lost their smartphone address-book contacts have done so by dropping the device into the toilet, according to a new study.
A new survey from online address book company Plaxo found that the toilet was the number reason why people have lost or damaged their mobile address book .
Meanwhile, about 55 percent of smartphone users say losing their address book information is a bigger hassle than losing their photos, email, apps, calendar and music.
But most of smartphone owners already know how important it is to back up information or store it remotely in the cloud , as 68 percent already back up their personal computers more than the general population.
Over the next 2 years, two-fifths of respondents said they expect to increase reliance on remote or cloud access to their mobile contacts.
