Keeping Cool in Your Necktie
Keeping cool in the office usually means either a desktop fan or hoping that the air conditioning is on -- and not set to temperatures meant for a snow leopard. It's also a truism that what is too cold for one is too hot for another. This is especially unbearable if you are in an office that requires a tie.
Now, however, at least Japanese salarymen have a way beat the heat and save energy on air conditioning. It's a necktie clip cooler, from Thanko. It's basically a USB-powered fan, though it an also be fitted with a portable power supply.
Unfortunately it is not available at retail stores in the U.S., though the Japan Trend Shop will ship them.
