Baby Monitors Get Wireless Internet
New parents are often faced with setting up a baby monitor – but many suffer from being expensive and hooked up to dedicated systems that aren’t portable.
But lately there has been a spate of products that provide both audio monitoring and video as well, as well as Internet connections. They are also simple enough to set up that they are portable, for those times when one is visiting grandma.
While they vary in ease of setup and how well they reproduce color and sound, products like the Y-Cam and Foscam are making it a lot easier to set up remote systems for watching your baby, (or perhaps, your teenager). Seedonk also has a model that connects to smartphones.
