Macbooks tend to come with only one video output (the Mini DisplayPort) and if you want to hook up to more than one HDMI-capable monitor you were once out of luck. The Zotac Mini DisplayPort to dual-HDMI adapter solves that problem.
It's basically a simple dongle that allows for connecting two 1080p displays. Zotac says it is compatible with any native DisplayPort output, but be aware that older Mac laptops don't always carry audio, though the 2010 or later models do. Apple says that only adapters that conform to the VESA v1.1a DisplayPort Interoperability Guidelines will carry audio and Zotac is not one of the brands listed.
Even so, for those who want to hook up to bigger displays (gamers are likely takers) it's a decent solution until Apple designs an official version.
