AT&T Source Points to iPhone 5 Launch in October
|
Even though Apple keeps a tight lid on rumors, it has to deal with companies that don't have quite as firm a grip on gossip. Companies, it seems, like AT&T.
A reliable source at BGR reports that an AT&T vice president has warned employees to be ready for an iPhone 5 launch in early October. The vice president warned them to be prepared because the company would be "really, really busy in the next 35 to 50 days, so prepare your teams accordingly."
This leak fits well with previous rumors about the iPhone 5 launch. Apple reportedly plans to make an official announcement in late September, and then start shipping the new phones within the first two weeks of October. However, other sources have said that Apple hasn't even finalized dates internally yet. There are no indications of how AT&T plans to handle the launch.
