Apple Brings Back Previous Version of Final Cut for $999

When Final Cut Pro X debuted in June, it was met with an overwhelming groan from video professionals who were previously fans of Apple's video editing suite. Those same people will be happy to know that Apple has decided to start selling the previous version of Final Cut once again.
Apple will sell Final Cut Studio for $999, though only through Apple's customer phone line (1-800-MY-APPLE). Students can get a $100 discount on Final Cut Studio. The software suite includes Final Cut Pro 7, Motion 4, Soundtrack Pro 3, DVD Studio Pro 4, Color 1.5 and Compressor 3.5.
Apple said that it is not making Final Cut Studio available in response to backlash from Final Cut Pro X . Instead, the company said it is simply liquidating some leftover supplies of Final Cut Studio, meaning that Final Cut Studio will likely go away again soon.
