Bentley Rolls Out Prototype for High-Tech Interior
British luxury carmaker Bentley Motors unveiled earlier this week a new auto interior concept that comes with an array of bells and whistles intended for wealthy tech and gadget fans.
Bentley's Mulsanne Executive Interior concept — which was on display at the 2011 Frankfurt Show in Germany — features Apple iPad workstations with full Internet access and Apple Bluetooth keyboards behind the passenger seats. The workstations are integrated into two electric-powered, foldable wood-veneer picnic tables.
The twin iPads give passengers access to video files and music, personal and work email as well as the Internet (via W-Lan).
The back of the car also features Apple iPods, a docking station, USB connectors and a panel to control the dropdown TV screen in the front interior of the car. The large, drop-down LED screen is 15.6 inches.
There is also a cooler with a double-glazed frosted-glass door to keep beverages cold. The price or details about when this may hit the market have not yet been released.
