Robot Cleans Your Litter Box
|
Robots in the home are starting to get beyond Roombas. In this case, they take over one more tedious chore: the litter box.
The Litter-Robot doesn’t do the full cleaning-and-take-it-out job, but it automatically sifts the kitty litter for clumps, so you don’t have to each day. It doesn’t require any special receptacles or bags – you just empty out the bottom part. To clean the litter the box basically rolls over, with the clumps caught by a mesh that leaves the cleaner litter behind. Sensors inside make sure that kitty doesn't get tumbled around.
Automated Pet Care Products, Inc. sells the Litter-Robot for $339, so it is a bit pricey, though the company says it will save money in the long run by reducing the amount of kitty litter wasted.
