Say No to E-Waste By Building a Table

Unless you are pretty technically savvy recycling an old computer for another use can be difficult to do. And after all, not everyone is waiting for that latest hack that can be adapted to an 8086 computer that’s been n the closet since the Reagan administration.
But not every new use for electronics has to be – well, electronic. To help combat e-waste, David Maloney over at The News is Broken came up with a cool table design. It basically makes circuit boards into a kind of diorama. He even wired it to light up.
Geek chic furniture may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it is certainly better than throwing e-waste into a landfill, where the numerous toxic chemicals leach into the soil, or to a dodgy recycling company that employs underpaid workers to break the components down.
