Build Your Own Solar USB Charger

We’ve posted a lot of solar powered gadgetshere, and cool ideas for chargers. So it was only a matter of time before someone combined the two.

Over at Make there are instructions for building your own solar-powered USB charger. All the parts can be obtained at the local electronics parts store – Radio Shack is one outlet but you can probably order most of it on the Internet for a few dollars.

With a little soldering you have your very own USB charger, powered by the sun – you never have to plug in again (well, at least not on sunny days).
