iPad Wi-Fi + 3G to Start Shipping May 7

The speedier, more versatile wired version of Apple's iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G will begin shipping on May 7, according to an update this morning on Apple's Web site.
The Wi-Fi + 3G model, as with the regular Wi-Fi model, is available in three different storage capacities: 16 gigabyte (GB), 32 GB and 64 GB, offering Apple's customers some choice in how much data they envision loading up their devices with. These higher-end iPads sell for $629, $729, and $829, respectively.
The move by Apple comes on the heels of last week's announcement that international orders for the iPad will be delayed until the end of May per brisk sales in the United States.
