Not every home gets bright sunlight in every room. Now there's an inexpensive gadget that allows you to beam sunlight into your home, making your plants — and you — much happier.
The Sunflower Home Heliostat is basically a reflector that tracks the sun. The tracking motor itself is solar-powered, so it runs on its own. Just put the heliostat in a place that has both exposure to the sun and a line of sight to the house. The beam of reflected sunlight isn't focused enough to heat anything appreciably, so there are few safety concerns (though looking right at it — as with the sun itself — is not a good idea).
