Wear This iPod Shuffle Swimming, Surfing, or Sailing

iPods of any sort are not water-friendly. That's why so many companies make cases to protect them, but Underwater Audio decided to just make an iPod Shuffle that is waterproof to begin with – down to 100 feet.
The company won't say exactly how it waterproofed the insides, but you can see that some of the technology is simple, such as adding rubber seals and better gaskets near the click wheel and the headphone jack.
It isn't just for swimmers, either – Apple's warrantees don't cover water damage, and if you sweat a lot wearing your iPod shuffle a little waterproofing is never a bad idea.
The company also makes a set of headphones that goes with the iPod, which are designed for in-water use.
The waterproof iPod is available from the Underwater Audio site, for $160. An extra $15 will get you a set of headphones designed for streamlined swimming while $10 will buy a more ordinary (but waterproof) set.
