Best Apps for the New iPad

At the Apple event at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, a whole slew of apps — some from Apple, the rest from other huge third-party names like Autodesk and Epic — have just been announced to suit the gorgeous Retina display on the new iPad. Assuming the 264-ppi resolution won’t scorch your eyes, here are all the new apps that have been outed to utilize all of the 3.1 million pixels on the new iPad’s IPS screen.
Apple’s iLife suite:
- GarageBand (updated; $4.99)
- iMovie (updated; $4.99)
- iPhoto (new; $4.99)
Apple’s iWork suite:
- Pages (updated; $9.99)
- Numbers (updated; $9.99)
- Keynote (updated; $9.99)
Third-party apps:
- Infinity Blade: Dungeons from Epic
- SketchBook Ink from Autodesk
