What Else Costs as Much as a Retina Display MacBook Pro?

Despite pretty much knowing that it was coming, the world may still be impressed by the super-thin 15.4-inch MacBook Pro, especially with its improbably high-definition (2880- by 1800-pixel) resolution display.
For perspective, you could watch four high-definition movies (at 720p HD) on the same screen. (Of course, why would you want to? Perhaps if you were a video editor working on multiple clips at the same time.)
And there's the big question: Can you really use all this tech?
Let's say you do take the $2,199 plunge. So what will you be giving up? This list shows what else you could get for about the same price.
