Download QuickBooks: Where and How
Keeping track of the financial situation is critical for all businesses. Many use the help of QuickBooks, a line of financial software designed to keep owners organized. Businesses can use QuickBooks as a data hub for storing vital details, including customer information, inventory specifics and income and expense reports. The accounting software also offers opportunities for managing bills and online banking. In addition to installing via CD drives, QuickBooks by Intuit is also available for download, making it even more hassle-free.
Where to Download QuickBooks
There are two options, each with its own benefits. By purchasing the package directly from its creator, Intuit, users will be assured any questions or concerns they have are being addressed by the manufacturer. But you may not pay the lowest price.
To download QuickBooks, users must first check to ensure their computer meets the minimal requirements. For QuickBooks Pro or Premier 2012, the operating system must be Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP or Windows Server 2008, Small Business Server 2008, Small Business Server 2011 or Windows Server 2003. The computer also must have at least a 2.0 GHz processor, 1 GB RAM and 2.5 GB of disk space, and the display must support 1024 x 768 screen resolution or higher.
For QuickBooks for Mac 2012, computers must use Snow Leopard, Lion or the new Mountain Lion operating systems with 1 GB RAM (2 GB RAM recommended) and 210 MB of available disk space.
According to Intuit, downloading QuickBooks should take about 30 minutes when using a cable modem, or 60 minutes with DSL. Your download time may be slower or faster depending on your setup.
While there are many free versions of QuickBooks available for download, users should be wary. Intuit offers free trial versions of the software, but full versions are never free. Be sure to download any free trial version only from the company or a reputable site. Free versions of software from sites you don’t recognize can contain viruses spyware and other malware that can infect a computer.
