|Norton 360 software can be downloaded from the company or several reputable sites.|
With cybercrimes at an all-time high, keeping their computers safe secure is a top priority for many users. One popular security option is Norton 360 Everywhere for Windows PCs. The software detects and eliminates viruses, stops online threats and defends against online identity theft. Norton 360 checks where files came from and how long they've been around to stop new online threats before they can cause trouble, and protects users from dangerous applications before they install them by alerting them if they are harmful. Other features include parental controls, cloud-based management, automatic backup and browser protection.
Where to Download Norton 360
Norton 360 Everywhere is available through a number of software outlets. Those wanting to go directly to the source can download the software from the Norton website. Users have the option of downloading software that is good for one, two or three years.
The software is also sold by a number of software retailers, including Amazon, Staples, Digital Delivery Downloads, Purplus and the Software Supply Group. When purchasing from places other than Norton, be aware it can sometimes take up to 48 hours before the download instructions are emailed to the user.

Once users are logged into their Norton account, they can start the download process by clicking on Norton 360 in the Products Tab. Once on the download manager page, users can click on "start download" to start the installation process.
To use the software, Windows users must have computers with at least 300 MHz for Microsoft Windows XP or 1 GHz for Microsoft Windows Vista/Microsoft Windows 7, 256 MB of RAM and 300 MB of available hard disk space.
For computers connected via broadband, downloading Norton 360 takes between three and 11 minutes. It takes about five hours for those using a dial-up connection.
While users might be inclined to save money and download a pirated version, that could end up costing a lot more in the long run. While Norton 360 is designed to protect users from online dangers, a pirated version can do the opposite – since it can contain viruses, spyware and other malware that can infect a computer.
