Since the browser is free, it makes the most sense to go directly to Apple to download the software. The browser can be downloaded for both Macs and Windows PCs directly from Apple's website. The browser can also be downloaded through a number of free file-sharing sites.
Downloading Safari
To download Safari, users can visit Apple's safari page and click on "Download Now." From there, users must select with operating system their computer has, such as Lion, Snow Leopard, Windows 7, Windows Vista or Windows XP. After that, the browser is downloaded and installed with ease. In order to use the browser, computers must meet certain requirements, including having at least 256MB of memory and a 500 MHz Intel Pentium processor.

Depending on internet speed, downloading Safari usually takes less than five minutes.
Download Dangers
Though Safari is available through file-sharing websites, users are taking a big gamble by not downloading directly from Apple. By downloading through a file-sharing website, there is a risk that the browser may contain viruses, spyware or other malware that can infect a computer.
