Bring 'We Dare' to Your Next Sleepover: Wii Gets Sexy
Thanks to the new Wii game "We Dare," spin the bottle and seven minutes in heaven may join newspapers and rock albums as analog relics threatening to be crushed by our digital present. Designed by Ubisoft, the new game uses the Wii's motion controls to digitize the sexy sleepover games made famous by middle schoolers and bachelorette parties.
In the game, participants grind, spank and strip their way through Wii-sports style games. Sexed-up Miis (aka sexy avatars) perform the action on screen, although based this video, it seems like the action in the game is far less risqué than the action in real life.
To maximize the fun, Ubisoft takes advantage of the two great advantages the Wii has over the Xbox and PlayStation: Its controllers have motion tracking, and its owners presumably know actual women.
Of course, as anyone who has watched a sensual game of Twister devolve into a cramped mess will tell you, these games are often more fun in concept then execution. Still, in an age where technology seems to be pushing people further apart, it's nice to see software that actually lets people get to know each other better. In the biblical sense.
