A new self-healing plastic inspired by human skin can repairs itself by "bleeding" healing angents when cut.
Developed by Nancy Sottos at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the new plastic could lead to longer-lasting surfaces and self-repairing coatings for cellphones, laptops, cars, and other products.
