Panasonic will start taking orders in July for a 3-D TV that's a whopping 152 inches diagonal — big enough to display a person in actual size.
Shipments will start in Japan and the U.S. this fall, according to a company press release posted by Akihabara News.
The newly announced TV dwarfs another big one announced recently, an 84-inch 3-D TV from LG announced last month.
The Panasonic monster uses will have an industry-leading contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 for "overwhelming black reproduction," the company says.
The large 3-D TVs are intended for professional users such as corporations, stores, amusement facilities, educational institutions, art galleries and museums.
