A free tool to remove the Firesheep hacking program will be released next week by the security firm Zscaler.
The tool is called BlackSheep, and it is designed to combat Firesheep , the now infamous Firefox Web Browser add-on that allows hackers to access highly-trafficked sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and Amazon on computers surfing on unsecured Wi-Fi networks .
BlackSheep is a Firefox add-on that monitors Web traffic and alerts users if Firesheep is found on the network.
Since its release in late October, Firesheep has been downloaded more than 200,000 times.
BlackSheep will be available for free download on Monday, Nov. 8 at the Zscaler website.
