'Glee' Star Heather Morris' Phone Hack Reveals Nude Photos
Just as the sun rises in the east, and the moon comes out every night, celebrities, it seems, will always keep naked photos of themselves on their cellphones, and hackers will always steal them and post them online.
The latest Hollywood star to have her private nude pictures plastered on the Web is Heather Morris, the 25-year-old actress who plays the cheerleader Brittany Pierce on "Glee." The racy photos of Morris, a former backup dancer for singer Beyonce and onetime contestant on "So You Think You Can Dance," hit the Internet last night (March 11), and show her in various states of undress, and fully naked, in front of a webcam.
The photos were reportedly stolen from her cellphone by a hacker, but there is no report regarding who is behind the theft.
Morris' nude pics come amidst a whirlwind of naked celebrity photo leaks. Last week, both "Mad Men" star Christina Hendricks and actress and model Olivia Munn reported having explicit photos stolen from their phones. Other Hollywood stars that have faced similar privacy-invading predicaments include Scarlett Johansson, Vanessa Hudgens, Mila Kunis, Christina Aguilera, Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus.
In October, police arrested Christopher Chaney, a 35-year-old Florida man responsible for breaking into the online accounts of Johansson, Kunis, Aguilera and others.
There are, of course, ways to bolster your online privacy, whether using software products or by tweaking the settings on your computer and the social networks you belong to. But perhaps the soundest advice, the only true way to avoid this kind of public embarrassment, is this: Don't take naked pictures of yourself.
