Anonymous hackers attacked websites belonging to Sweden's central bank, health service and judicial system yesterday in retaliation for a police raid on Web-hosting company PRQ. California Attorney General Kamala Harris has settled allegations with Blue Cross of California over accusations that the health insurer failed to adequately protecting customers' data. The company sent letters to 33,000 subscribers with their Social Security numbers printed on them. It must pay a $150,000 fine as a result. [Inland Valley News]
Australia's federal government plans to reduce its vulnerability to network attacks by closing off all but eight of 124 points of entry. The reduction will allow the government to manage online access in a more consistent and efficient way. [Futuregov]
